MICHAEL N. MCANDREW, COLLABORATIVE PIANIST/COMPOSER

This work was commissioned by the DeMarina Trio (Inna Eyzerovich, violin; Deborah Andrus, clarinet; and Martha Schrempel, piano). The title phases came from the musical episodes that arrive and disappear, essentially shifting from a desolate phase to a bright and jazzy mood (and back and forth) throughout the work.

The work was premiered at the ICA Clarinet Fest in July 2017.
