As A Star (2013)

As A Star is sort of a cousin to one of my earlier works, Midnight, of which I had written not long before. My style developed through these two works, but I retain several stylistic trademarks that remain in my work to this day. Abram Joseph Ryan's text tells a story more of how many of us are like flowers, opening up to the significance of Jesus' birth, and the all knowing, omnipresent God. Instead of going for a large moment on the event of his birth, however, I chose to set that stanza softly, as a mark of reverence towards the Messiah. Afterwards, the piece begins a modified recap, and it weaves to one more high point of God's light shining down within us, as a star.
